Dean Manson serves as our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, a position he has held since November 2011, and is responsible for all legal and government affairs of EchoStar and its subsidiaries. Mr. Manson also serves as Executive Vice President–General Counsel and Secretary of Hughes Communications, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of EchoStar (together with Hughes Network Systems, L.L.C.–"Hughes"). Mr. Manson joined Hughes in 2000 from the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where he focused on international project finance and corporate transactions, and was appointed General Counsel of Hughes in 2004. Mr. Manson received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Princeton University and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law.
