David Washenfelder co-founded Stonelotus in 2010 and Syndicate Legal in 2011 following his 10-year role with global “big law” firm Baker & McKenzie where he swiftly rose through associate ranks to reach partner in 2006.
David is a US qualified attorney who has practiced in Asia for 12+ years as a trusted legal advisor to Fortune Global 500
companies in corporate and commercial matters, with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, compliance and dispute resolution.
David served on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand for four years, and served concurrently as vice-president for two years. He was elected vice-chairman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce Legal Committee in 2010, and served on the Thailand Board of Trade, Competition Committee from 2008 to 2010.
