David Trandel is an experienced financial executive who has led hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of real estate acquisitions, developments, and redevelopments in Chicago and the surrounding area over the course of his 27-year career. After beginning his career as an investment banker for L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg & Towbin and earning
vice president positions with Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns & Company, David Trandel helped re-establish Prime Group, Inc. as one of the premier real estate enterprises in Chicago.
While serving as vice chairman and chief operating officer for Prime, Mr. Trandel managed real estate ventures totaling over $1.2 billion, including the development of the $300 million Waldorf-Astoria and the $400 million JW Marriott. Upon leaving Prime, he worked for Stonestreet Partners and managed Trilogy Capital Income Fund.
In 2014, Mr. Trandel was appointed chairman and CEO of Springbank Capital Advisors, a real estate investment enterprise that focuses on commercial property located near major transportation nodes. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Iowa and completed the Wharton School of Business' executive education program.
In his free time, he enjoys staying active by playing golf in the summer and skiing in the winter.
