David Thomson is the current Chair of the Board of Trustees of the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and has been a trustee since 2001. A New Zealand native, Thomson now lives in Woodside, California, where, as a business entrepreneur, he helps capitalize and manage a diverse range of investments including a successful restaurant group, AWF’s
African Wildlife Capital Fund and other impact investment opportunities.
In New Zealand he is in a partnership in a high country sheep and cattle ranch and is the chairman of Formway Furniture, a design studio that produces world-class office and residential seating and desk solutions to licensed partners globally.
