Mr. Sopp joined Kamylon Capital in 2007. He has more than fifteen years of investing experience including his time with Kamylon. David is responsible for the evaluation and execution of investments and serves on the Board of one of Kamylon’s portfolio companies.
Prior to Kamylon, David was a Principal with Capital Resource Partners, a
private capital firm that invests preferred equity and subordinated debt into later-stage growth, buyout and recapitalization transactions, where he originated and closed transactions for the firm, resulting in the investment of $140 million of capital in seven companies. David played an active role as a board member for six of CRP’s portfolio companies, and he helped raise CRP’s fifth fund in 2003.
Prior to CRP, David was an Associate with HarbourVest Partners, a global private equity firm with more than $20 billion of assets under management, where he identified and recommended high growth transactions leading to approximately $70 million of equity invested in nine companies. David began his career as an Analyst with ABS Capital Partners where he managed the due diligence processes that resulted in the investment of more than $80 million of equity in ten companies.
