David Shorenstein is a multifaceted professional whose skill in and knowledge of finance has lead to his career as a real estate professional and his current position as Principal at Hildreth Advisors.
Outside of his career, David Shorenstein is a passionate supporter of philanthropic organizations that offer a hand to those in need. He's
been involved with both the Madison Square Park and the Chelsea Waterside Plaza projects. Alongside those that offer a hand to those in need, David is also driven by organizations that seek to offer people assistance in their professional careers, particularly Young Jewish Professionals (YJP), a nationwide not-for-profit organization that's dedicated to helping Jewish professionals who are getting started in their careers, gain the education, mentorship, and guidance necessary to help them grow their careers in the Finance, Entrepreneurship, Fashion, Media/Tech, and Real Estate industries.
David Shorenstein has always had a desire to help the less fortunate since he was a child. Growing up, he knew he wanted to give back to the community in any way he could. While David knew a career in real estate would bring him the satisfaction and career growth opportunities, David began to study and be involved in philanthropy. As he is involved in many different organizations, he wants to make a difference in everyone's lives.
As a businessman himself, David wants to be an active part of the group’s mission of “Mentoring, educating, and activating the new generation of Jewish business leaders.” At Young Jewish Professionals, they offer a representation of multiple industries, including finance, entrepreneurship, fashion, media/tech, and real estate, to help provide the mentorship necessary for these young professionals to succeed.
In his early days, David Shorenstein attended college-preparatory school at Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, New York. After graduating, he continued his education by attending the New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He attended the school from 1999 to 2003 when he graduated, having earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance. From there, he entered the finance industry and his career took off.
For the past 15 years, David Shorenstein has expanded his career in the real estate industry. After graduating with his degree in finance in 2003, David began looking for a sector of the finance world that would allow him to work with more tangible assets. He chose real estate because, unlike traditional finance, which only involves numbers on a screen, real estate gives you a chance to work with actual, tangible investments.
