David Rule joined HarbourVest in 2014 and in addition to leading the Global IT Infrastructure team is also the Firm’s Chief Information Security Officer. Dave is responsible for information protection, network and systems architecture, cloud technology, telephony, disaster recovery, and data center operations as well as overseeing the global
service desk team.
Prior to joining HarbourVest, Dave held senior infrastructure leadership positions in the software industry and systems administration and engineering roles at BlackRock and Acadian Asset Management. His responsibilities included infrastructure and systems engineering, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning. His previous experience also includes corporate compliance roles at Pioneer Investments and Fidelity Investments.
Dave graduated from Salem State University in 1997, received an MS in Information Technology Management from Brandeis University in 2011, and holds the CISSP certification.
