David Prance, Director of Business Development, Trimble Mining in Australia, is responsible for developing technical information systems and support for the entire mining chain process. He started his career working with technical and commercial information systems within the mining industry in 1983.
He has been involved with a number of major
mining information technology-based projects with Rio Tinto, AngloGold Ashanti, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines , DeBeers, Kinross, and Barrick Gold. In 2005, he founded and became the Managing Director of Mining Information Systems, now a Trimble company.
