In this role, he leverages the breadth and depth of expertise he has developed over the years to deliver significant value to companies in a wide variety of industries and stages.

David's journey in the financial industry began in investment banking. He spent a decade as a senior banker in global M&A for leading Wall Street firms such as Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers where he began to identify the core areas of the industry that he would continue to impact at each successive stage of his career. In 2006, he was a founding member of R3 Capital Partners a multi-strategy credit hedge fund which was acquired by BlackRock. As BlackRock, David was a leading voice in navigating the global financial crisis as the Global Head of Credit Strategy and the Global Co-Head of Macroeconomic Strategy for the company's $780 billion Fundamental Fixed Income division.

In 2012, David was recruited to be the CEO of Deltec International Group, a global banking and financial services business. With his financial expertise and strategic insight, David successfully grew the business from roughly $2 billion of assets under management to over $12 billion of assets under management between 2012 and 2018, a complete turnaround that delivered significant value to Deltec’s stakeholders. This experience laid the foundation for David to launch Vektrust in 2019, a merchant capital business aimed at increasing the probability of success for early and mid-stage companies by providing capital, management expertise, strategic alignment, and tactical execution. Through David’s work at Vektrust, he has been able to flex the skills he developed throughout his career and showcase the deep expertise that he has grown in building businesses, wealth management, and strategic execution within financial firms. He is a board member of Cypress Creek Funds, a next-generation, full-spectrum private markets platform investing in private equity, real assets, and private debt. He also serves as a strategic advisor to HOLT Xchange, a leading fintech entrepreneurship program in Canada dedicated to investing in, growing, and supporting financial companies. Throughout his career, David has been a board member and investor in various businesses, including GCSA LLC, a provider of soft capital solutions for the global clearinghouse industry, and a co-founder of Access Personal Finance, a consumer lending business.

In addition to this wealth of lived experience, David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University. He pays his experience forward by acting as a board member of Arts Global foundation, a Swiss non-profit dedicated to providing scholarships in the arts and as a Regional Board Member of Junior Achievement, an organization focused on mentoring teens in business and finance. David is a well-rounded and experienced executive, equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to continue to excel in the financial services industry.
