David Menicovich was born in Isreal and received his BArch from the Tel Aviv University in 2001. In 2005 he received his MsAAD from Columbia University and in 2013 he completed his Ph.D. in Architectural Sciences at the Center for Architecture, Science and Ecology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. As his Ph.D., he developed an Active Flow
Control system integrated into tall buildings for the reduction of crosswind response with applications to wind energy generation and indoor air quality. He has more than 10 years of international experience in building design and architectural project management at companies such as OMA, REX and Snohetta. He specializes in the design of advanced technologies for greater sustainability in the built environment and experienced in multidisciplinary collaboration for the development, transfer, integration and commercialization of new technology in academia, industry and between both. David leads the product development and manages the full scale system validation project under the NYSERDA grant.
