David Marks was named Chief Operating Officer in April 2015 after rejoining EmCare as Executive Vice President – National Systems in 2014. He previously served as Division Vice President from 1992 -1997. Prior to rejoining EmCare, he served as Chief Executive Officer of both OrthoSynetics Incorporated and USCardioVascular.
David Marks early
career was spent developing the pre-hospital EMS system for the northwestern quarter of Pennsylvania where he was responsible for establishing the region’s first paramedic program as well as designating the first Level I Trauma Center under the direction of the federal Department of Health, Education and Welfare.
He went on to manage the Emergency Medicine, Level I Trauma, Burn and Spinal Cord Injury Centers at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh before accepting the SVP role over the Emergency Medicine consulting practice of Stern and Associates.
David Marks attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health Professions Administration and received his Bachelor Degree from Slippery Rock University.
