Since coming to Kantar Retail, a WPP Company, in 2007 David Marcotte is a fourth-generation retailer with responsibility to The Future, International Retailers and their diverse markets, Technology and Big Data, and small format retail. He is a distribution industry expert on issues of complex systems and management, ECR, consumer finance,

financial technology, and store operations. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the retail industry having managed at every level of responsibility both in operational and corporate office environments. He has also written papers and articles on the above at both the strategic and tactical levels for client needs including the ‘Retailing in Emergent Markets” and an article in the Dec 2010 Harvard Business Review. He also was the technical editor for Bob Laberge’s recent book ‘The Data Warehouse Mentor’ in 2011 and in 2012 he co-wrote PwC’s ‘Survey on Retail in 2020’. In 2016 he published a white paper on the challenges of Brazilian retail.
