David Williamswas appointed to the Mitel® board of directors upon the merger of Mitel and Aastra on January 31, 2014.
He was previously Aastra’s Lead Independent Director and Chair of Aastra’s Compensation Committee.David served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation from February 2011 to November
2011.
Prior to this, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and held senior executive and finance roles with George Weston Limited and Loblaw Companies Limited, including a term as Chief Financial Officer of Loblaw Companies Limited.
David is a director of Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation and the Chair of the board of directors of Toronto Hydro Corp. David is a graduate of the ICD Corporate Governance College and has a designation as C.G.A (Ontario).
