David is the founder and Chairman of Insgroup. Over the course of his career, David has established Insgroup’s reputation for client advocacy. David is the third generation of his family to work in the insurance industry. Upon graduating from college, David joined his uncle and grandfather at the Bell Insurance Agency in Houston, Texas.
In
1990, David formed Business Insurance Group, a consolidation and merger of several multi-generational Houston-based insurance agencies. In 2000, the company’s name was changed to Insgroup, Inc. Over the past 24 years, David has overseen the growth of the company from a small independent firm to one of the largest privately held insurance brokerage firms in the United States.
A lifelong Texan, David graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. David says, “You’re known by the company you keep, and we appreciate that a number of Houston’s most important businesses and individuals trust Insgroup to protect their assets.”
