David Freund, VP – Technology & Alliances, provides technology vision and drives strategic alliances to co-design the company’s Big Data products in concert with key Technology Partners.
David Freund joins Dragonfly Data Factory from Winchester Systems Inc., a purpose-built data storage company, where he led the company’s global marketing.
Previously, David led Virtualization and Cloud solution architecture and engineering for NetApp, working closely with the company’s strategic-alliance partners. Prior to NetApp, David drove innovation and guided long-term architectural strategies as Infrastructure-Software CTO at EMC, where he also helped the company’s global-marketing team craft and evangelize its Private Cloud vision and strategy.
David has provided strategic advice and custom research to global IT vendors and their customers as an IT-industry analyst, and held numerous senior engineering and marketing roles in commercial, academic and defense-contractor organizations. David’s delivered keynote addresses and participated in expert panels at trade shows and symposia, and has been quoted by many trade- and business-press organizations as a visionary in next-generation data management.
