David Fleet Emory earned his bachelor's degree from Florida State University and his law degree from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. He worked as the assistant state attorney for the First Judicial Circuit in Florida for almost two decades. He was admitted into the bar in 1993.
A passion for teaching and his extensive
knowledge of law led David to become an adjunct professor at Northwest Florida State's Criminal Justice training center. The facility is run by the IPTM, a leading provider of training and technology for law enforcement agencies. Its full-time instructors are supported by a group of highly qualified instructors who keep the courses up-to-date with the latest trends in policing.
Throughout the majority of his career, David Emory Fleet was a trial lawyer who worked on criminal and civil cases. Since that time, David has worked on multidisciplinary teams (MDTs). These teams look into and prosecute crimes against children. When a child is abused or neglected, a representative from children's services and a member of the criminal justice community must act quickly and correctly, according to local laws. To assist, a growing number of jurisdictions have set up MDTs to help with the coordination and teamwork needed to keep children from going through more trauma once they are out of harm’s way. Over the years, David’s role on MDTs changed between consultant, lecturer, and expert. He advised in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Missouri, Louisiana, Washington, DC, North Carolina, Kentucky, and South Carolina.
Over the course of his career, David Fleet has produced and designed various types of kitchen and bath cabinets. He has received numerous sales achievement awards for his work. Being able to work with his team of skilled craftsmen and designers has been his passion, and he enjoys the process of creating a home's interior design.
