David Demaree is a product manager, designer, and web developer at Adobe Typekit. His responsibilities include organizing projects, going to meetings, and making presentations in Keynote. Prior to that, he was employed as a senior engineer at Metromix; freelancer working on projects for MTV Networks, DirecTV, BeenVerified.com, and many others; and
principal web developer at Killswitch Collective.
Demaree has spoken at many events on web design and development, including TYPO Berlin, Web Directions South, WindyCityRails, Refresh Chicago, Chicago Cocoaheads, RailsConf, and more. In 2011, he wrote an article about Sass for A List Apart, and has contributed articles for Typekit’s blog about the use of JavaScript to serve web fonts better and things to consider when setting type on Retina displays. He is also the author of a book named Git for Humans which was published in 2014.
