David A. Culton joined AAM in September 1998 as an Assistant Manager, Finance at Detroit Manufacturing Complex (DMC). He has served as the Finance Manager at DMC; the Director of Finance Operations; the Director of Commercial Analysis; Executive Director, GM Sales; Controller; Vice President, Unibody Vehicle Business Unit; Vice President,
Commercial; President, AAM-Europe; President, AAM-Americas; and President AAM-North America. Prior to his current assignment, Culton served as Vice President, Material Cost Optimization.
Culton began his automotive career in 1988 as a College-Graduate-in-Training at Chrysler Corporation where he served in a variety of production, engineering and financial positions including Production Supervisor, Industrial Engineer, Manager - Activity Based Costing and Budget Supervisor.
Culton holds a bachelor of science degree from Northern Michigan University. He holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Detroit.
