As Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility, David’s mandate is to develop, implement and monitor, and account for corporate standards for health, safety, the environment and community relations. Prior to joining Hudbay in 2011, David was principal at his own
firm, Innotain Inc., providing sustainability and responsibility consulting services to the mining and energy industries. He also spent 18 years in a series of roles with the international engineering and consulting firm Hatch Ltd., serving lastly as Director, Climate Change Initiatives. David holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Engineering from Queen’s University, an MBA from INSEAD, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
