A social entrepreneur, David Cherner is CEO and co-founder of YOL, an experiential learning company based in Mill Valley, CA. He has had a notable career in the health, wellness and technology-enabled services sectors, highlighted by P&L leadership that has delivered significant organic and acquisition-related growth, business model and
product innovation, IPO, thought leadership and relationships with Fortune 500 C-level executives, universities and leading global foundations.
David has been a leader in venture-backed health care and IT-based services companies, including Vicinity Corporation (IPO in 2000, acquired by Microsoft in 2002) and Access Health (IPO, acquired by McKesson). He has also spearheaded high profile entrepreneurial initiatives within larger emerging growth, mission-driven and public organizations.
David has founded or co-founded four companies-- YOL, Health Workforce Solutions (HWS), Alpine HealthCorps and i-Health.
His career includes comprehensive experience in strategic planning and execution, product and business development, marketing/brand-building and operations.
UC Berkeley MBA and MPH as well as BA, Economics from Emory University.
