Dr. David Castain, is a serial entrepreneur, world traveler, philanthropist, scholar and licensed life coach. He is a member of the Forbes List, the Entrepreneur Leadership Network, and Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent on behalf of the United Nations. He spoke at Harvard University and is also a TED Talk speaker who served on the
Rolling Stone Culture Council, the Newsweek Expert Forum, Bank of America Advisory Panel and Linkedin Advisors.
David is the Chief Executive Officer of David Castain And Associates, a conceptual marketing firm that leverages the principles of psychology to address the issues involved in the growth of a business. He determines how people perceive a specific product, service or brand, he then uses that information to determine what type of physical or digital environment is needed to influence people to buy into that product, service or brand. David has flown more than 18 times around the globe to 58 countries to examine and reconstruct the international marketing techniques used in demographic segmentation with clients like Berkshire Hathaway’s Cort Furniture, Uber, Chipotle, and BET Networks. Inland Valley Daily Bulletin said that "David Castain is the kind of person movies are made about”. Forbes describes him as a “self-made millionaire”, and Huffington Post calls him “a marketing maven”.
David holds a Bachelor’s from Howard University in communications, a Master’s from Georgetown University in public relations and corporate communications, and a Ph.D from The Chicago School in business psychology. He received Howard University’s Entrepreneur Excellence Award, and Georgetown University’s Golden Bulldog Award, as well as their Cause Consulting Award. David is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement, Alpha Kappa Delta International Honor Society for Sociology, and Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Association Honor Society.
Committed to giving back to the community, he created the David Castain Foundation, a nonprofit organization geared towards changing the future of the youth and young adults in at-risk situations who may not otherwise possess the necessary tools and resources to achieve success.
He also created David Castain Destinations; a traveling platform that provides insight, and preparation for exhilarating experiences across the globe. With his guidance, planning, and leveraging of resources, traveling can become anyone’s reality. He has charmed king cobras in Sri Lanka, danced with lions in Argentina, laid with tigers in Thailand, driven tanks in Budapest, ran with wild kangaroos in Australia, trekked the jungles of Costa Rica, ridden camels across the deserts of Qatar, and watched sunsets in the Maldives.
