David Broadbent, born in 1960, was appointed to the Managament Board of Software AG in January 2007 and is Chief Operating Officer across region EMEA (excluding D/A/CH, EE).
David Broadbent joined Software AG in July 1999 as a Sales Manager in the UK subsidiary. In the years that followed, he became UK Sales Director, Country Manager
South Africa and Senior Vice President of Sales in the United States before his appointment to the Executive Board in January 2007 as Chief Product Officer for the Business Division ETS while also being responsible for ETS in the Asia/Pacific Region.
Active in the IT industry since 1981, David Broadbent spent the early years of his career working in sales in the UK. Following five years in the Middle East, he returned to the UK and spent the next sixteen years in various sales and sales management positions at software vendors Computer Associates, Borland and ESP.
