As co-founder of MRO and in his role of Chief Technology Officer, Borden has played an integral role in making MRO an industry-leader for technical innovation. As architect of MRO’s technology platform, he has guided MRO’s efforts in becoming a Health Information Handler for CMS’s esMD program, a provider of Direct Secure Messaging services, a
certified participant for the eHealth Exchange, and a certified partner for SSA’s MEGAHIT program. Borden directed efforts leading to MRO’s certifications for Meaningful Use Stages 1 and 2, and is also the inventor of MRO’s patent-pending IdentiScan® patient identification software.
Prior to joining MRO, Borden headed Sipapu Technologies and provided IT solutions for the Wharton Business School, among other clients. He graduated with honors from Harvard College. Currently, Borden serves on the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority, the board that oversees the state’s Health Information Exchange (HIE).
