As Managing Principal and Co-Founder of Veris Group, David Svec is active in strategic planning, management, and strategy execution.
Prior to forming Veris Group, David spent several years as a risk management consultant and subject matter expert with Booz Allen Hamilton where he led and managed client engagements and teams of cybersecurity
professionals who advised clients on information assurance, security, privacy, and business continuity issues. During his period of service at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s International Affairs and National Security Division, David performed analysis of federal critical infrastructure protection and information assurance research and development programs and budgets.In addition to his risk management and cybersecurity consulting experience, David has over 15 years of proven sales, marketing, and management experience. He co-managed the consulting group at Reliacom, LLC, a successful IT integration and consulting startup, and he was in sales management for Accu-Tech Corporation, a national network products distributor. David also worked with the Ridgway Center for International Security and Global Risk Assessments, Inc., researching and analyzing global threats and assessing political and economic risks.
He has earned a master of business administration (MBA) from the Johns Hopkins University, and he holds a master of public and international affairs/international security (MPIA) from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor of arts in international studies/political science from Towson University.
