Dave’s responsibilities at EPIC include brand standards and brand management; public and media relations; advertising and creative direction; sales and marketing strategies, materials and campaigns; web site design and content management; social media strategies and content; as well as business development and strategic sales support for producers
and practice leaders across the organization.
Dave has held positions of increasing responsibility leading claims, sales, business development, marketing, corporate communications and brand management teams.
Across his 40 year insurance career, Dave has worked for California Casualty Management Company / Calco Insurance Brokers and Agents, Minet Insurance Services and ABD Insurance and Financial Services. He joined EPIC in June of 2009.
Dave earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley. Professionally, he is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) as well as a Property & Casualty Insurance Broker-Agent license holder (California).
Dave lives in San Mateo with Jamie, his wife of more than 40 years. They have two adult sons, Brian and Andrew, living and working in the Bay Area. A lifelong musician, Dave has played guitar and sung in the classic rock cover band “Men Behaving Loudly” for the past 20 years.
In addition to private parties, corporate events and local club gigs, MBL donates performances to a wide range of non-profits and community service organizations that have included: American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, MS Society, Alpha Phi Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, Sacramento Children’s Home and Crisis Nursery, Insurance Industry Charitable Fund, San Mateo Police Activities League and the San Mateo County Volunteer Center.
