With his extensive background and expertise with fraud management in the payments industry, Dave Fish joins Blueport to head up Fraud Prevention for Blueport’s furniture retail clients. Prior to joining Blueport, Dave was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their financial services advisory practice, focusing on projects related to payment
systems.
Prior to PwC, Dave spent six years at Mercator Advisory Group, a payments industry research and consulting firm, where he led the firm's fraud and risk management practice. In addition to providing leadership in fraud best practice, Dave published multiple reports on various aspects of the payments industry.
Before becoming an industry analyst, Dave gained valuable hands-on experience with fraud investigation and risk management at two major U.S. based merchant payment processors. His time spent analyzing the payments industry has put Dave in touch with leading-edge fraud control technologies, fraud trends, and a deep understanding of the market and how payments fraud has evolved. This experience is an invaluable asset to establishing a world-class fraud prevention practice to protect Blueport’s big-ticket retail clients and their customers.
At Blueport, Dave will be focused on incorporating highly specialized fraud prevention processes into the order verification and customer care functions to better address increasing threats in the world of ecommerce and to more delicately treat customer touch-points.
