Dave Bourdeau is the Founder and Chief Experience and Education Officer of Orbit Biomedical, and through his experience at Johnson & Johnson brings 36 years of innovation in the medical device world. His tenure encompasses operations, sales leadership, strategic marketing, market development and professional education (clinical training). As
Global Group Director of Professional Education at Ethicon, Dave led a global team of 75 people, developing and leading the worldwide strategy and execution of education for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across multiple surgical specialties. He also developed and led numerous innovative training modalities including surgical simulation, surgical training apps, digital education, virtual world education and surgical games. In his most recent position at Janssen R&D, Dave led the Global Professional Education team for a surgical procedure and device that delivered a cell therapy to the subretinal space. Dave also created the strategy and platforms for state-of-the-art training modalities to include remote/virtual clinician training and a synthetic eye training model. Dave holds a bachelor of science in Management Science/Marketing from Kean University and an MBA in Pharmaceutical/Chemical Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
