Dario Neri is a co-founder and President of the Scientific Advisory Board of Philogen. He graduated in Chemistry at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and obtained his PhD in Chemistry from the ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Kurt Wüthrich, winner of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, 2002. For his dissertation, he was awarded the Silver
Medal of ETH. After a 5-year post-doctoral research position in the lab of Sir Gregory Winter at the Cambridge Centre of Protein Engineering in Cambridge, UK, he returned to the ETH Zurich in 1996 as Assistant Professor in Molecular Structure Biology. Since 1999, he has been a Professor in Biomacromolecules in the department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences,(ETH).
He is the recipient of the ISOBM Abbott Prize 2000, of the Amgen-Dompe' Biotec Award 2000, of the Mangia d'Oro 2001, of the Prous Award 2006 of the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry, of the Robert-Wenner-Prize 2007 of the Swiss Cancer League, of the SWISS BRIDGE Award 2008, of the Prix Mentzer 2011 of the French Medicinal Chemistry Society and of the ERC Advanced Grant 2015.
Neri is author of more than 300 publications in international journals.
