Danny Strong (born June 6, 1974 in Manhattan Beach, CA) is an American actor, and writer, director, and producer of film and television. Most recently, Danny was a writer and producer for Fox's series "Empire" and the Hulu miniseries "Dopesick", which is based on Bety Macy’s nonfiction book "Dopesick; Dealers, Doctors,
and the Drug Company that Addicted America".
As an actor, Strong is best known for his roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gilmore Girls. He wrote the screenplays for Recount, The Butler, and the two-part finale of the acclaimed Hunger Games trilogy, Mockingjay (Parts 1 and 2).
Strong’s contributions have earned him two Emmy Awards, two Writers Guild of America Awards, a Producers Guild of America Award, an NAACP Image Award and in 2022, Danny won the USC Libraries’ Scripter Award in TV for the episode “The People vs. Purdue Pharma”.
