Arriving at Kibbutz Hatzerim in 1963 at the age of 21, Danny was responsible for the technical side of Netafim upon its establishment in 1965. In addition to building the company's first production machine, nicknamed the Zorba, Danny carried out a range of technical services for Netafim during its initial years.
Studying engineering at
university in 1980, Danny eventually became senior engineer of Netafim's plant at Hatzerim. The only person who has worked with the company from its outset until today, Danny was chosen to represent Netafim and the pioneers of Israel's southern Negev desert at the country's main Independence Day ceremony in 1980.
