Danielle Cass is Director of Amnesty International’s new Silicon Valley Initiative, which aims to connect with the technology sector to transform the human rights movement. She explores how technology can expand Amnesty’s reach and impact, how to mitigate the risks of technologies that pose a human rights issue, and how to leverage technologies to
protect human rights and human rights defenders. Danielle joined Amnesty International in October 2017 from the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Global Development Lab, where she established USAID’s first-ever Silicon Valley presence in January 2015 to engage the technology, innovation and investment communities in global development.
