Dr. Steines leads the software engineering teams at ConforMIS and is responsible for the development of image processing and implant design algorithms and applications.
He has more than 10 years of experience in research and development of medical image analysis and computer graphics applications. In the past, he held research positions at
Stanford University and the Charit in Berlin (Germany), working in the areas of new imaging techniques to assess osteoarthritis and articular cartilage as well as novel medical video applications.
He previously served as Senior Vice President of Research & Development for Imaging Therapeutics, where he was responsible for the development of image analysis applications for diagnosis of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
Dr. Steines has an MD from the Technical University of Aachen (Germany) and an MS in computer science from the Technical University of Berlin (Germany).
