Daniel Smereczynski is a vice president specializing in research and investment in selected information technology sectors.
He also coordinates the firm’s communications infrastructure. Prior to joining First Analysis in 1997, he owned and operated a computer consulting business, whose clients included OSHA and the City of Chicago. Earlier, he
served as an aide-de-camp and corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He earned a master's degree in information technology from Northwestern University's Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in information and decision science from the University of Illinois.
