Dr. Daniel Cress is a former Program Manager for the US Government where he specialized in discovering, mapping, and characterizing facilities using Physics-based techniques.Dr. Cress continues to support US Government efforts in related areas as a consultant to Program Managers.
He was the driving force behind the implementation of DARPA’s
Counter UnderGround Facilities (CUGF) Program, which spans multiple exploitations involving electromagnetic, seismic, acoustic, optical, and radar techniques, and served as its Program Manager for five years after its inception.
Dan began his career as a geophysicist with the Army Corps of Engineers and, having worked with GroundMetrics technical personnel, has a keen interest in transitioning of former CUGF technology to commercial applications. Dan holds a PhD in Physics from Texas Tech University and had a post-doctoral appointment at the Colorado School of Mines.
