Canadian businessman and real estate entrepreneur Dan White is the President and CEO of Symmetry Asset Management Inc. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Symmetry Asset Management Inc. is an international acquisition, finance, development and operations company that facilitates collaboration and growth in the green energy innovations sector and the urban
revitalization, pulp mills, and other wood related operations industries.
Dan White’s thirty year career began overseas during the 1970s when he worked as a marketing consultant for an Italian resources company. White developed the company’s North American marketing plan for gold and diamond manufacturing. He was also responsible for supplying gold and diamonds directly from manufacturing facilities to the company’s international representatives worldwide.
Dan White moved back to Canada in the late 70’s and settled in Alberta’s capital, Edmonton. After arriving in the prairie city, White was inspired to work in restoring and converting small scale single building projects in the southern Alberta area.
White’s attention to detail soon earned him attention across the province, particularly after he was invited to participate in the first federally funded social housing project in Edmonton history. The two-part project had White renovating and revitalizing a heritage warehouse and office building into modern condominiums.
In 2009, Edmonton’s Dan White began working at Symmetry Asset Management Inc., where he has since then actively supervised and managed the company’s expansion and growth process. White also directs the company’s major acquisitions and development in residential lands, industrial plants, and pulp and paper mills.
Aside from leading Symmetry Asset Management, Dan White is also the active Chairman of the Board for Eco Industrial Business Park Inc. The board is currently committed to redeveloping and revitalizing a central Alberta energy plant that was abandoned. Plans for the site renewal include an ecologically-managed, environmentally-sustainable, mixed-use industrial park. The massive overhaul is expected to facilitate business growth in central Alberta, as well as benefit the lives of Edmontonians through the new and upgraded infrastructure.
Throughout his career, White has worked to enhance the communities that he lives in. With more than three decades of experience, his hard work and diligence is well known throughout the city of Edmonton and the surrounding area.
In his leisure time, Dan White enjoys an active lifestyle of mountain biking, exercising, and gardening. He is also loves spending time with his family and friends.
