Dan Smith’s more than 30 years of experience, most of which has been directing all aspects of multi-regional food service and merchandise operations, have made him instrumental in the creation and development of Legends. His business prowess has recently earned him the right to be highlighted in SportsBusiness Journal’s “Five People to Watch in
Sports Concessions.” Before becoming a principal with Legends, Dan was president of Ledgestone Associates, where he served as a consultant for self-operating clients. Prior to Ledgestone, he was senior vice president of Centerplate, where he maintained profit and loss responsibilities for more than 52 facilities in five separate regions of an Eastern territory. He has been a director of the food, beverage and merchandise services for major and minor league baseball stadiums, entertainment complexes and convention centers, and his knowledge of the industry dates back to his days as a high school vendor at Yankee Stadium.
