Dan Schmitz is the CEO of Petal, an API-first business in the neurotechnology industry.
He was the valedictorian of the Texas McCombs School of Business Master of Science in Technology Commercialization Class of 2022 at the University of Texas. He received his Bachelor of Journalism from the No. 1 ranked Missouri School of Journalism for Strategic
Communication with a minor in business.
In previous roles, Mr. Schmitz founded a user experience and product research lab, led innovation initiatives for global enterprises, and was contracted by Apple and Magic Leap for software design.
Mr. Schmitz is also a volunteer paleontologist on behalf of the Dinosaur Discovery Museum at Carthage College.
