Dan McQuay founded BITS in July of 2003 as a Service Disabled Veteran Business. Dan enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1978 and became a communication specialist working base and tactical information systems. In 1990 he received a commission through the Enlisted Commissioning Program. As a Marine Corps Officer he was assigned to the 1st Radio
Battalion in support of I MEF (Marine Expeditionary Force) and III MEF.
He has a Master’s of Science in Information Technology Management from the Naval Post Graduate School, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Maryland and is a certified Project Management Professional. He resides in Saratoga Springs, New York with his wife, Ms. Amy DeLano and one of his three sons, Joshua, and daughter Abigail. His second son is a 2016 Virginia Tech Graduate and currently works for IBM in Poughkeepsie NY. His first son Zachery currently resides with his wife Heather, daughter Emma and son Ethan in Pasadena, Maryland.
