Dan Gertler is Senior Advisor to the Fleurette Group, a private company involved in natural resource exploration and development, sustainable agriculture and infrastructure improvement in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He is also co-founder of the Gertler Family Foundation, which since 2004 has been investing millions of dollars in health,
education, emergency relief, infrastructure, culture and other projects across the DRC, helping to change the lives of countless Congolese.
Born in Israel, Dan Gertler is well-known for his entrepreneurship, business acumen, ability to forge partnerships and commitment to the communities in which he invests. He regularly donates to support community development in his native country – in the areas of education, healthcare and social welfare – and is an Honorary Consul of the DRC in Israel since 2003.
