Dan D. Beverly As AMS’ Chief Technical Officer and Quality Assurance Manager, Mr. Beverly is responsible for all technical developments at AMS and its CHAR Services Division in the areas of cable condition monitoring, performance testing of process instrumentation in nuclear power plants, quality assurance, and related efforts. Mr. Beverly has
worked for AMS since 1987 and has served the company in numerous positions, including Quality Assurance Manager, Chief Engineer, and Technical Assistant to the President. He has performed testing and measurements for AMS in more than 50 nuclear plants in the U.S. and Europe.
Mr. Beverly has authored or co-authored 20 technical publications, including reports for the Nuclear Maintenance Assistance Center (NMAC) of the Electric Power Research Institution (EPRI), as well as research and development reports for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He has been an expert instructor for the IAEA on missions to Mexico, Slovakia, and China. Mr. Beverly has also been active in the International Society of Automation (ISA) and served as the president of the local chapter of ISA in the mid-1990s.
An expert in electronic test equipment hardware development, Mr. Beverly has been instrumental in the design and development of several AMS diagnostic test systems produced for the nuclear industry. His experience also extends to testing and troubleshooting electrical cables, pressure transmitter static and dynamic performance evaluation, and reactor diagnostics (including core barrel and reactor internal vibration analysis). In addition, he holds a patent in the area of rod position indication and rod control systems of nuclear power plants.
He holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee.
