A content creator and YouTube personality, Dan Avidan has been a co-host of the popular series Game Grumps since 2013. The Let's Play web series also features Arin Hanson and has more than 5.35 million subscribers on YouTube. Episodes typically involve Hanson and Avidan playing video games and providing hilarious commentary with celebrity
guests such as Ben Schwartz, Weird Al Yankovic, Paul F. Tompkins, and Kumail Nanjiani. Avidan brings a relaxed, good-natured vibe to the show.
Beyond co-hosting Game Grumps, Dan Avidan has appeared in several other web series, including Good Mythical Morning, YouTubers React, Harmontown, and On the Spot. He played an alien in the 2019 film A Heist with Markiplier and will appear in the yet-to-be-released project The Players' Score: A Video Game Music Documentary. Avidan has also experienced success as a writer, having won the 2014 People's Voice – Comedy: Individual Short or Episode Webby Award for his work in creating "Breaking Bad: The Middle School Musical."
Avidan's creative pursuits extend to music as well. He is the lead singer of comedy-focused groups Starbomb and Ninja Sex Party. He formed the latter group with frequent collaborator Brian Wecht in 2009 and has since released seven albums, including NSFW (2011), Attitude City (2015), and Under the Covers, Vol. III (2019), and many singles. In April 2020, Avidan released an album of acoustic covers with Super Guitar Bros. In the past, he was lead singer and wrote songs for the indie rock band The Northern Hues and the alternative rock duo Skyhill.
Avidan has additionally lent his voice to other projects, including Tupper Ware Remix Party's Together Through Time (2018) and Night Runner's Thunderbird (2017). He also performed the theme song for Mighty Magiswords, which appeared on Cartoon Network, and voiced a character in the sixth episode of the series' second season.
