Crystal Harmon oversees TNTP’s business and operations strategy, staff recruitment and retention, and knowledge management efforts. She also leads our comprehensive reform efforts in Houston and Memphis.
Previously, as Chief of Staff and Partner for TNTP’s Policy & Research Business Line, Crystal managed district- and state-level research
and policy analysis initiatives. As a Project Director, Crystal led contract analysis and data gathering in Milwaukee, publishing a report that catalyzed significant policy reform.
Crystal joined TNTP in 2004 as a Site Manager for the Baltimore City Teaching Residency, doubling the number of teachers in the program. She began her career teaching first grade in Baltimore City through Teach For America. She holds a BA in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University and a MAT from the Johns Hopkins University.
