As Zappar’s CTO, Connell oversees the ZapWorks team (Zappar’s AR/VR/MR creation software) as well as being responsible for all the cloud infrastructure and the core functionality of the Zappar app (which can also be embedded into third-party apps). Connell met Zappar Co-Founder Dr Simon Taylor whilst they were both studying engineering at
the University of Cambridge. They founded Zappar, along with Caspar Thykier, 8 years ago and have seen it grow into one of the leading AR platforms with $3.75M in funding, 50 staff, and four offices around the world.
