Colin's early career was in Tier3 support of 5 nines Telco infrastructure, leading to roles deploying IP-based Terabit Switch networks into major Telcos and datacenters with both start-up and large organizations. He has more recently focused on efficient DataCentre/Cloud implementation with, for example, PUE <1.03 and non-blocking
lossless data transfer into massive storage. Colin's talk will cover efficiencies and increased application performance achieved with innovative methods for virtualization, high bandwidth and RDMA, as used in organizations such as Azure, Oracle and Paypal.
