Clive Tucker is Chief Design Engineer at Levant Power. He brings over 25 years of hydraulics design experience to our team. Mr. Tucker is responsible for the design and build of GenShock’s ActivalveTM technology, a proprietary device that enables passive dampers to become efficient, responsive actuators for autos and trucks.
Prior to joining
Levant Power in 2010, Mr. Tucker served as VP of R&D at Folsom Technologies, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) supplier. He holds in excess of 30 patents for electrohydraulic and electromechanical systems.
Mr. Tucker also was chief designer of a 150mm gun for SAIC Corporation. It is known for firing passive (non-propelled) projectiles as far as 75 nautical miles at altitudes of 155,000 feet, setting a world record that still stands today.
Mr. Tucker earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of West England.
