Claire is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Immunology and Gene Therapy at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. She graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2001 and then trained in Paediatrics, subspecialising in Paediatric Immunology and
Immunodeficiency. She was awarded a PhD from UCL in 2012 in the field of lentiviral gene therapy. She is Principal Investigator of a number of Phase I/II clinical trials of gene therapy for rare, inherited diseases and runs a research group developing novel therapies for immune disorders including gene editing strategies.
