Transformation for HSBC Global Banking and Markets. He was a Managing Director and active member of the GB&M Operating Committee. Through Transformation, Chuck leads the global, cross-business effort of business model redesign and solution development, using the latest market capabilities; Big Data, Automation, Distributed Ledger Technologies, Digital Platforms, FinTech partnerships, and Cloud enablement. Chuck was instrumental in developing the world's largest wholesale banking data lake and driving a data-led culture. Prior to UBS he was the Global COO of the Client Capital Management division at Barclays. As part of the LIBOR remediation efforts, Chuck undertook a strategic review and restructuring of all treasury, funding, liquidity and Asset Liability Management (ALM) functions across all divisions of Barclays. Prior to this, Chuck was the CAO and a key member of the European Equities Executive Committee at Lehman Brothers/Nomura. There he leveraged his extensive consulting experience from PwC to set up a strategy team to develop new product strategies, restructure businesses, deliver growth for existing product lines and enter new markets. After the Lehman bankruptcy, he became an instrumental member of the deal team that led to the buyout of the European Equities division by Nomura. Chuck led the restructuring effort, successfully integrating the two divisions and was subsequently asked to move to New York to build out the US equities business. Chuck is a Canadian chartered accountant and has an MBA from the University of Toronto
