Throughout his 25 years in the dental field, Dr. Christopher Zed has seen the impact that dentistry has on overall health. Dr. Christopher Zed is a professional dentist who has spent over thirty years formulating a stellar reputation in the industry. He began his career as a clinical professor at the University of British Columbia, educating young professionals on the dental industry's ins and outs. During this time, he became known as being at the forefront of dental tech innovation. After this position, Dr. Christopher Zed chose a position with the Vancouver General Hospital, where he shared his knowledge about topics such as community dental care and more stringent procedures such as oral cancer treatments. His research is still consulted to this day on both topics.
Since 2014, Dr. Christopher Zed has been a Principle Associate with Apnea Dental, a sleep disorder treatment center located in Vancouver, Canada. He also spent a decade serving as the Chief of Dentistry at Vancouver General Hospital.
Dr. Christopher Zed has always been passionate about the compassionate and patient-focused side of the dental industry. His other primary interests include dental information and education, but he has always emphasized the importance of clients having a say in their own dental care.
At one time, Dr. Christopher Zed was a Clinical Professor at UBC, as well as Chief of Dentistry at Vancouver General Hospital. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on a variety of subjects, including oral cancer and community dentistry. Dr. Zed has also served as the Olympic Chief of Dentistry for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. While in this role, he spoke about the necessity of proper dental care for athletes.
One highlight of Dr. Christopher Zed's career was holding the position of Chief of Dentistry at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Dr. Christopher Zed also gave a presentation on the topic of Dentistry.
His current position is the owner and a dental surgeon with Bayview Lonsdale Dentistry. Christopher has made it his primary mission to focus on patient education, empowerment, and healthcare.
Over the years, Dr. Zed has seen firsthand how much technology has shaped the industry, from Dentists to Surgeons and Researchers. One such piece of tech that Dr. Christopher Zed is thrilled to see gain momentum is digital communications systems for patients and care providers.
