Polvado attended Tarleton State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. He graduated in 1994 and then entered the professional field.

After finishing his education, Christopher began a long-term leadership career with Thrivent. He served as a Regional Director from June 1994 through October 2008. During more than 14 years in that position, he gained experience in managing teams, overseeing business operations, and guiding professionals within a competitive industry.

While working in Plano, Texas, he developed knowledge in leadership development, strategic growth, and client relationship management. His work focused on helping teams improve performance while maintaining a strong organizational culture. After leaving Thrivent in 2008, Polvado expanded his professional direction by moving into consulting and independent business analysis. From March 2009 through November 2021, he worked as a self-employed Business Analyst and Consultant.
