A commercially astute and exuberant human, Christie has a passion for creating exponential business growth and making an impact by building businesses that solve problems. handdii was born out of this energy and along with her co-founder Kathryn Wood they have identified an opportunity to improve the way that customers connect with Trades. Prior to
this exciting adventure, Christie was on the Executive of Carlton Football Club as the General Manager of Business Development introducing a number of unique revenue streams and led the creation of Carlton Respects program against family violence and Blue Skies program supporting diversity and Inclusion. Christie’s core career experience of 10 years is her role of Group Sales Director and Board Member of National Construction Company, Johns Lyng Group, today ASX listed as JLG. Christie played a lead role in the national expansion and exponential review growth of the Group from $12M in 2004 to $350M+ in 2015. Christie was also intimately involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions including 50% equity in Retail Prodigy Group, licensee of Nike roll out and operation of 50 stores across Australia; joint venture with RACV for the development and delivery of the new Emergency Home Assist product. It was this experience that led to the deep domain knowledge and expansive industry relationships needed to create handdii. At handdii we are on a mission to put the control back into the hands of the customer and help trades excel at the work they do. Our product is unique and focuses on a specific problem area in claim fulfilment and property repair. We don’t want to be all things to all people but we do want trades to be able to show up, fix the problem, be awesome and free customers up to focus on their lives.
